GK Seafood was founded the 1st of May 2005 by Gunnar Kristofersson and Kangamiut DK. The company was given the name G&K Seafood and it received the Icelandic ID number 691200-4340.

The company operates in the international seafood industry and it's main activity has been affliliation with international trawlers of which fish for shrimp in Canada, Greenland and in the Barents sea. The company has also affiliated with Icelandic and Norwegian shrimp processors.

Recently Thorarinn Kristjansson joined the company and at that time the company expanded to new product lines such as Catfish, Sea cucumbers and other fish products.

GK Seafood is MSC Certified by SAI GLOBAL Assurance. Our certification registration number is MSC-C-53830.
